PageMaps sketch challenge

Hi!  Just a quick post here before I head to bed. :)

Becky Fleck is hosting a sketch challenge over at the PageMaps blog, here.  Loved the sketch!

I have had this photo sitting around for a while, waiting to be incorporated on a page.  My mom attended a Stampin' Up! regional seminar with me in Virginia Beach when I still lived in VA.  Shelli Gardner, CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up!, doesn't always attend the regional seminars, but she was at this one!  We waited in line (I missed out on a photo with her in SLC at Convention that year) to get a picture with her.. yay!  Don't you just love her style?  She's such a genuine person, too.

Well, gotta run!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow. Seriously, when I saw the pic, I was thinking that was maybe your sister!
Beautiful layout, will have to check out the Pagemaps blog to see the sketch now!

  2. What a cool pic!! Love seeing your beautiful mom!!

Love the LO and that what I call signature bow. Love your bows and always glad when they appear!

You have such a knack of placement of things along with great color! This is great!

  3. I love your page, Melissa! It is gorgeous! Love the fabric bow.

  4. I like how you echoed the colors from the pic into your embellies, the red flower to your mom's outfit and the yellow pompoms to your badge. I agree, your mom looks like she could be your sister. What's her secret??? LOL

  5. Melissa, your work is always so very beautiful. You are inspiring to me!

  6. Love that bow! And you have the BEST handwriting I've ever seen! :)

  7. I agree this is such a beautiful layout! Your work is great and the photo is so sweet. You and your mom look so happy!!

I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.. it makes my day!
